Yeah...so Jen pretty much formally admitted her defeat in the Contest of the Massive Brain last Thursday. (She made up the "Massive Brain" Award, which was presented to me, along with the "Group Tutor Extraordinaire" Award, on Tutor Appreciation Day.) And my massive brain just got more massive with the excessive growth of my ego.

But not really. Congrats to the other amazing awards...I thought we had the coolest ones out of everybody: Jim for the "Tutor Most Likely to Instill a Sense of Calm in an Overwhelmed Tutee" Award, Richard for the "Most-Enthusiastic-and-Eager-to-Tutor Tutor" Award, AJ for the "Rolls with the Flow Tutor" Award, and.............JEN! for the "Tutor of the Year Award."

Woohoo.

Would you laugh if I told you a joke?

I don't skip class enough. My headaches are getting more intense and more frequent, so thinking hasn't really been an option for me for the last couple weeks. Too bad two of my jobs and school require it. To sum it up, I work at the Writing Center...and as I type this, I'm making a zillion mistakes that I don't usually make, so I'll have to proofread it after I finish the entry. In order to do that proofread, I'll need a Red Bull be able to really concentrate. And I'll still miss a ton of things. Am I going crazy? Jen, don't answer that. Of course I'm not! I'm just so exhausted from all the energy that my body's putting into functioning, so I can't function. And that last sentence took me a good 30 seconds to figure out how to write. WTF! It's cool though; I got to bug the crap out of Jen yesterday when I brought my guitar and sang "Apologize" by OneRepublic and "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias all afternoon at work. Oh! Can't forget "Baby One More Time" by Britney Spears.

Right now, I'm in the computer lab at school not doing my lab report for my lab class that starts in 30 minutes. The sad thing is that I'll start it at a-quarter-of and still finish it on time and well enough for an A. As I commented earlier, I'm "your classic over-achieving slacker." But really, it's just because my lab class is a joke. I finished the midterm in five minutes and still got a good grade. I guess it's nice to have an easy class when I'm taking so many units, but a joke? That's just not what college is about. I want to learn something! I'll probably end up taking more complex science classes for fun if this is the kind of crap I have to do right now. I wanted to take Physics, but I don't have that core math prerequisite. So I'll have to take that eventually, maybe. Please tell me the act of transferring will get me into some more challenging classes! That'd be lovely. But not until my brain stops being retarded.

Okay, folks, the end of the semester is right around the corner. You know what that means...LOTS O' PAPERS!!!!! And with lots o' papers come lots o' students. After a 6 hour day, my massive brain just feels like giving up. Where does that leave me with the rest of my OWN classes? I definitely haven't been putting much of an effort into my studies, but so far I'm doing pretty well in school. Is anyone else feeling this end of the semester crunch? I really hope I'm not the only slacker.
